Am I Ready for Driveway Gates?
As I drove through one of the ritzier parts of town the other day, I noticed that many of the beautiful homes were surrounded by gates and fences. As I watched at one particularly immense piece of property, the driveway gates slid open and allowed a very elegant looking limo to cruise through and then closed behind it. I began wondering at what point a property or estate was large enough to merit its own driveway gate.
None of my friends homes had anything so fancy when I was growing up. I’m sure if one of our rather modest houses had been so equipped, it would have seemed pretentious to say the least, but these gates looked as though they belonged in front of the palatial estates I was checking out from the street. I don’t know the answer to this question, but I am still curious about it.
