The materials that you are going to require have to be able to be used for the foundations of the deck and also the deck flooring, and seating, especially if you are building a deck bench. You want to make sure that you try and create a continuous feel for the deck and this means selecting the right materials. Concrete, cinder blocks and crushed stone are a must and these will be used for the foundations, posts bases and posts of your deck. Then it is a case of ensuring that you choose the nicest wood. This will have to be bought in long planks and you will need washers and deck screws. If you choose to go with nails instead, then it is recommended that you use stainless steel ones as this will ensure that there is less of a chance of rust.
