So don’t just do the treadmill for 45 minutes straight – Add some strength training for the fastest way to lose weight!  It doesn’t have to be long -but you do need to challenge yourself.  The old saying, no pain, no gain couldn’t be more true.  If you don’t challenge yourself, your muscle won’t have to repair itself and that is when you see improvement.  Push yourself to do one more repetition each time, increase the weight in increments, and do the repetitions slowly to get the maximum burn from your muscles.  Remember to allow the muscles you worked to rest for at least one day, two preferably.  My favorite workout is to do 20 minutes of weights, alternating legs and arms on different days, and then do 30 minutes of cardio.  It better to do the strength training first so you are not tired from the cardio.  If you keep it up, soon it will pay off in spades.
