Phones are no longer just for talking on.  As a matter of fact, modern cellphones are more like mini computers than telephones.  We should really be calling them something like PCD’s (personal computing devices) with a telephone feature  instead of  simply calling them cell phones.

If your cell phone is one of the programmable “smart phones” you can use it as a cell phone tracking system.  All you need to do is install a software program like Google Latitude onto the phone.  Then from another smart phone or a computer, you can begin tracking.  There are some settings that you need to tweak here and there so that the phone can be a tracking device but it’s not too hard.  After you have it set up, the phone is like personal locating beacon.
