Choosing a Good Wine

The type of wine that you choose for your meal is going to depend heavily on what type of food you are eating. As a general rule, you can match the color of the meat to the color of the wine: chicken and fish go well with white wines, and beef/steaks, pork and game go well with red wines.

Another thing to keep in mind is to try and balance the spices in your food with the amount of flavor in your wine. Red wines are generally more flavorful themselves and can stand up to more flavor from your food without being overpowered.

If you are planning on making your own wine from wine making kits, then you have a huge amount of choice as to what wine to pick. Read the reviews of each kit to see what foods it pairs well with.
