Hawkeye VFT Is a Pretty Fair Driver

This driver had it’s fair share of ups and downs. While looking for single golf clubs I first picked up this driver when I first started to play golf, I hit it fairly well with that hacking swing and thought this was the club. But then a good drive every now and then was like magic to my eyes, but now since I have improved down to about a 5 handicap, this driver just doesn’t cut it. Very inconsistant. I installed a Proforce65 gold shaft with stiff flex. It helped keep the ball in the ballpark but if I tried to muscle it, it would result in the weirdest hook I have ever seen, very embarassing. Also, you can’t feel the head of the club on the backswing or downswing, so it’s very difficult to get the feel for the club. When I hit this driver good, I hit it about 275, that’s about as far as I can nail it. But only about 3 times a round that would happen. I don’t know where these guys who shoot in the 100’s get saying they hit the ball 300+ yards. They must have horrible short games.
