Home Safety

There are some basic steps that you can take to prevent intruders from entering your home.  Before we go into those steps, think about what would keep an intruder from attempting to break in to your house.  If the area around your house is well lit, they will think twice about trying because they will be easily seen.  Solid locks and doors will thwart the amateur crook, either because they can’t figure out how to get in or they think it isn’t worth the effort.  Alarms are the last line of defense that your home has.  Setting up outside lights that are on throughout the night or on a motion detector is probably the easiest thing you can do to improve safety.  Check your locks.  If they are loose or in poor shape, replace them quickly.
