Hot Tub Filters

To remove grit, body oils and other unsightly items from a hot tub a filter is needed.  A Hot tub filter is therefore a very important component when it comes to relaxing in a clean spa.  In order that the filter remains efficient, it is vital that it is kept clean on a regular basis, preferably every fortnight but more often if used quite frequently.  As when cleaning anything, care should be taken not to damage the filter component or a replacement will be needed.  Any visible damage that occurs to either the filter housing or material warrants a change in the part.  If no damage occurs, the component should be replaced at least once a year or more often is the water is visibly grimy or if there are shorter periods between new water fills.

When replacing your hot tub filter, care should be taken to find the correct component as they are not generally compatible.  This can easily be achieved by locating the manufacturers serial number on the bottom of the filter, ensuring the same model is bought.
