How do I use Firebug
Due to the increase of computer users accessing the World Wide Web everyday, the quality of the websites is very essential. A person who is responsible for coming up with websites is commonly referred to as a web developer or a web designer. Web designers need to have their websites working properly and at the same time the websites should have no mistakes on the coding either if they are using HTML or CSS codes. Web designers use a number of different applications although those who use Firefox are able to do all this by using an application known as a Firebug. Learn how to use firebug.
For these web designers to be able to do this they need to follow a few steps. The first step will be to go to the Tools menu in the Firefox browser and click on it where a drop down list will appear and proceed to click on the one that says “Add-ons”. Clicking on this will make a new window pop up which will take several seconds to load. When it is through loading the pop up window will have four tabs at the top and click on the first tab that should be the “Get Add-ons” tabs.
After this, scroll through the window and find Firebug. Click on the Firebug to open it which will make the screen to split into two parts where one of them will be the website you were visiting that comes on top while the other will be Firebug and it comes with code behind what you are watching.
A user is able to navigate through both HTML and CSS codes and ultimately choose the one you want to check. To help identify the bugs users click on different sections of the website which is normally on the bottom half of the display or monitor screen.
This will reflect on the top half of the monitor screen with the part being highlighted. In cases where by a user is using the CSS codes the codes are displayed on the right side of the monitor screen. With this, a user is able to identify possible mistakes and make several changes and view how the changes would look like without having to modify the original format of the file. When a user identifies the change he/she has to make, the user can go back to the editing program and make the changes.
