How to Take Care of Ladies Jeans
Every woman has at least one pair of ladies jeans in her closet. There are jeans for all kinds of body types and sizes. Not a day will pass that you will not see at least one single person wearing jeans, unless of course you just stayed inside your room the whole day.
Denim jeans are very sturdy, practical, and dependable. You can wear them anytime, anywhere. This makes them the most worn piece of clothing in a person’s closet. Because of this, you have to know how to properly take care of your ladies’ jeans so that they will still look good on you after several years of wash and wear.
Ladies’ jeans will still look new even after years of using it if the color stays the same, especially if you have dark washed denim jeans. Never wash your jeans using water and vinegar. Vinegar acts like a bleaching agent. Unless you are intentionally trying to bleach your jeans, stay away from vinegars or other acidic liquids. Just wash your jeans using plain water.
- Always use liquid detergent when washing your ladies’ jeans. The reason for this is that powdered detergent sometimes leaves some white spots on your denim jeans, which look unattractive especially if you are wearing dark colored denims. It would be best to wash your jeans inside out so that the outer part of the jeans will not be exposed too much to detergent soaps.
- If you have brand new ordinary jeans (ordinary means they are not made of stretchable materials), you should wear them at least 5 times so that the fabric will become softer and will fit nicely on your hips’ and legs’ contours. Of course, try not to soil them too much unless you want to look like somebody who has not taken a shower for a month. Also, if the smell starts getting offensive, forget about snug fitting. It is time for you to wash your jeans.
- For stretch ladies’ jeans, wash them right after wearing them. The care instruction is different from ordinary jeans because stretch jeans will lose the stretch factor a bit once they get dirty. Freshly washed stretch jeans will fit much better than dirty stretch jeans.
- It is best not to put your denim jeans into the clothes’ dryer, especially stretch jeans. Dryer usually affects the form and fitting of denim jeans. If you want to dry your jeans, just hang them in a clothes line and let them dry naturally. Do not hang your jeans by folding them over the clothes line. Instead, use the belt loops for hanging so that your jeans will dry nicely, without any folds and markings.
