There is a wide range when it comes to the pay scale of medical assistants jobs. A medical assistant salary depends on where the individual is working. You may earn less if you are working in a private office as you would if you working in a hospital. Also if you specialize in an area you are generally paid more than a medical assistant that does not specialize in any area.
