Reusing Matchstick Blinds
We recently upgraded all the blinds in our home. It has been a long time coming, the blinds that we have had up till now are the same ones that were in the house when we bought it back in the early 1990’s. We have replaced them all with some very fancy looking roman blinds, and a couple of verticals going out to the back patio. I was so happy to see the end of the old ones, that I was more than happy to make a trip to the dump with a trailer load of them just to get them out of my sight.
My husband had other ideas though. Quite a few of these are of the matchstick blind variety, and Bill had this clever idea of putting some stakes up around our backyard and growing vines up them. It’s worked really well, and the blinds look surprisingly natural in their new spot out in the backyard
