Social Status?
What do you think about the idea of a cubic zirconia engagement ring? They actually have a better color and shine than diamonds do plus they are cheaper. In some ways they are better than diamonds. Then why so women feel cheated by the idea of a cubic zirconia engagement ring ring? May be it is because diamonds are the traditional stone used for an engagement ring. May be they feel that the husband to be should spend a ridiculous amount of money on the ring. May be they don’t want to tell their friends and family that it is a CZ and they would feel terrible about lying. Somehow I think it may be the latter. They probably don’t want their husband to be to look like a cheapskate. I think this is probably one of the most compelling reasons a woman may want a real diamond.
