Badminton Racket Basics
If your looking to invest in a new racket you need to know what the basic parts are. All badminton rackets have a head, shaft and handle. This is the standard, and the head shape has to be under a certain size. This is not like tennis where you can have big sized heads. The shaft attaches the head to the handle. Most shafts are flexible to allow more power when you hit a shot.
However, some can be very stiff, and this is to give more control and placement. The handle usually comes in 5 sizes, ranging from very narrow to very wide. The kind you choose depends on the size of your hands, and how tight you grip the handle. There are all kinds of overgrips that you can use to boost the handle size if needed.
