Keystone Correction In The HD Projector

In the world of the HD projector there are many confusing terms that do not necessarily mean a great deal to everyday folk but are quite important in the matters you really need to consider when deciding which HD projector to purchase in order to set up your home cinema.

One such term is keystone correction, or keystoning.  This piece of HD projector functionality allows the projector screen to be placed in a location for which the HD projector is not projecting dead center.  Instead the HD projector makes the necessary adjustment to the image to prevent distortion.

These days most HD projectors automatically make the necessary keystone correction, but many models also have a manual keystone correction facility should you prefer to make the adjustments yourself.
