Solar Vs. Electrical Garden Lights

How do you decide what to choose for your lighting? The options to choose from are either solar lighting or electrical lighting. Both offer lighting, but they are very different. Solar lighting is very easy to place in any area you need or want to bit lit up at night. No matter where you need the lighting, just place the lights in the ground and you can have lights that same evening. Solar garden lights are inexpensive to purchase and there is no cost once the lights are placed. The only drawback about the solar lighting is that the amount of light output is very minimal. The light is not as bright as the type of lights that are ran off of electricity. The Garden lights that are ran with electrical are extremely different. These lights are much brighter than solar. You can choose the wattage you need for lighting up your area. This lighting has to be plugged in, Thus making it more inconvenient to place. You can run the wires in the ground or on top and have them showing. Electrical ran garden lights bring more lighting to your yard, and can cost a significant amount more. Either one you choose you can get your garden lights placed in your yard in a day or two and have lights showing off your beautiful plants.

take the energy of sunlight and convert it to electricity.  The electricity is then stored in a battery within the casement of the solar light and at night is used to generate light from the lamp.

During the day the light does not shine due to a light sensitive switch which keeps the solar light turned off if there is sufficient natural light already.  The solar lights will come on automatically and continue to shine until either there is sufficient light to trip the light switch once more or the battery is drained.

In practice it is usually the latter as the battery has sufficient energy to only keep the lamps shining for six to eight hours each night. This does not tend to be a problem however as this would be the early hours of the morning and thus a time when most folk were safely wrapped up in bed.
