The main consideration with a successful wedding reception is to treat it as a special event that encompasses everything that’s important to you. That may include embracing all the most traditional aspects of weddings, or opting for something uniquely individual.

You’ll probably want to incorporate touches to the reception, whether it’s a favourite colour scheme for the decorations, or a theme that requires a certain style of dress, food or music.

Asking other for ideas can be a great way to get inspiration for your reception. A quick survey of my friends yielded reception venues ranging from nightclubs and boats, to recording studios and parks. Themes draw on people’s favourite sports, locations and pastimes, and their occupations, culture or fantasies.

Different cultures can be recognized in many ways; including music, such as Scottish bagpipes; with cuisine, such as a Chinese banquet or hangi; with wine from a specific country or region; or with clothing themes, and so on.

An Unusual Wedding Centerpiece to Grab the Attention of Your Guests

A neat way, not only to make your wedding a memorable event, but one that your guests will talk about in future weddings they attend, is to use an unusual centerpiece at your wedding reception. This is also a great conversation starter that can be the difference between a boring event or the spark you need to bring the party out in your guests. In this article I am going to share with you one of many different unusual wedding centerpiece ideas that you can use to help get your creativity flowing.

Love Poem Wedding Centerpiece

The idea is simple, but the result is unusual and unusual is exactly the point we want to portray. To start, gather together a collection of love poems that you think will be great for conversation. Next, get some pretty paper that best represents the theme of your wedding and print your love poems using your wedding colors. Next, place your poems in simple, but elegant, frames and place them in the center of your tables for all your guests to read. Finish up by sprinkling flowers around your poems and add a bit of romance to the room with tea light candles.

Again, this is just one idea to get you thinking. The more unusual the better the conversation, but remember not to go too overboard or you may turn unusual into a disaster.
