Windows With Different Uses

You have been putting it off for as long as possible, but the time has now come for you to change those old, rotten windows that the wind whistles through and that you are holding together with strips of duct tape .  You are still undecided as to whether you will replace them with timber windows or uPVC windows, but before you even get that far, why not consider the possibility of changing the style of your windows.
Different styles of windows have different uses, depending on their location within the residence.  For example bay windows and picture windows are placed in a location, probable in the living room section of your home, where you can maximize your enjoyment of the views they offer of your garden or of the surrounding countryside or sea views.
Casement windows open outward as against sash windows which slide up ad down, so casement windows can be of benefit to you in a location that can be a bit harder to reach, such as over your kitchen sink.  Unless you are able to stand directly at a sash window it can be a bit difficult to open them.
Single and double hung windows are inversely similar, single hung windows open up and down with the top portion sealed closed while with double hung windows you are unable to open the bottom portion, which is good news if the window is located in a child’s playroom.
So you see, these are only a few examples of how different types of windows could have a use within your home.  So if you are changing you windows, why not consider the possibilities open to you.
