Women’s Fragrance Notes and Appearance
With regards the subject of women’s perfume you will probably have read or heard about the word “notes”. Actually its not just regarding womens perfume but also men’s fragrances too. Notes are in three levels – the top, the middle or heart and the base or bottom. Sounds a bit like music I know but what this applies to are the extracts of oils used to make up the perfume.
In reality it is a bit like a good song – the notes bring everything together and keep a good balance over all while even bringing the best out in a song, as they do in a perfume or fragrance.
Along with the notes of the perfume the idea would be to design a bottle and other packaging to reflect the perfume image. No point in producing the most quintessential perfume and then bottling it into something that represents a cola bottle now is there! The packaging must reflect the perfume or sales will suffer – perhaps dramatically.
